Tunisian International Ferjani Sassi Plays Key Role in Al-Gharafa SC's Emir Cup Victory
Ferjani Sassi, a Tunisian international footballer, played a crucial role in Al-Gharafa SC's Emir Cup triumph in Qatar. The midfielder scored the opening goal and provided a decisive assist, guiding his team to a comprehensive 4-1 victory over Al Sadd SC in the final match, held on Saturday at the Khalifa International Stadium in front of a crowd of nearly 38,000 spectators.
Sassi opened the scoring in the 21st minute with a powerful shot, following a fine move by Ahmed Al Janahi. Six minutes later, he provided a decisive pass to Algerian forward Yacine Brahimi, who scored the second goal. Brahimi then went on to score a hat-trick, claiming the Man of the Match award in the process.
With this victory, Al-Gharafa SC retained their title and won their ninth Emir Cup in history, denying Al Sadd SC a national double this season.
