Despite a convincing 3-0 win against Qatar on the last day of Group A in the 2025 Arab Cup, Tunisia exits the competition after a campaign marked by crucial points lost at the start of the tournament. Captain Ferjani Sassi expressed his disappointment while praising the team's commitment and the public's support. After the match, Sassi stated that the players had given their all to win and left nothing to chance, while regretting that qualification had slipped through their fingers. "We defended our chances until the end. As always, there is positive and negative, and we will have to learn from it," he said. The Tunisian midfielder also highlighted the impact of the first two matches, during which the Eagles of Carthage had lost precious points. "In this type of competition, every lost point is paid in cash," he added. Sassi took the opportunity to warmly thank the Tunisian supporters present in Qatar. "We would have liked to go further to honor them. I hope we will do better in the next events," he concluded, recalling that this tournament was an important preparation for the African Cup of Nations (CAN).
