Global Food Prices Decline for Third Consecutive Month
The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) announced on Friday that global prices of basic food products fell for the third consecutive month in November, with key product prices decreasing except for cereals. The FAO Food Price Index, which tracks a basket of food products traded worldwide, averaged 125.1 points in November, down from the revised October reading of 126.6 points, recording its lowest reading since January.
