Ministry of Environment Announces Launch of $20 Million Financing Line for Green, Blue, and Circular Economy Projects
The Ministry of Environment has announced the launch of a $20 million financing line aimed at supporting businesses, developers, and young entrepreneurs looking to launch projects in the green, blue, and circular economy.
In a statement to the National Radio on Saturday, May 16, 2026, Dalenda Azzedine, head of the investor support cell at the Ministry of Environment, revealed that the ministry has signed 10 agreements with banks to provide these funds.
She explained that this financing line is specifically designed for the Pollution Cleanup Fund (FODEP), and that the incentives include a three-year grace period and a 10-year repayment plan with no interest charges (only the base interest rate is covered, with the investor only repaying the principal).
Azzedine also emphasized that these funds are intended for young people, businesses, community societies, and any type of structure operating in the green, blue, and circular economy.
How to Benefit from this Financing Line
Regarding the modalities for benefiting from this financing line, Dalenda Azzedine, head of the investor support cell at the Ministry of Environment, stated that the beneficiary can access the ministry's platform, visit the dedicated link to download the form, and then submit it to the relevant bank.
She continued, saying that the beneficiary can also visit the bank directly to collect the form and submit their project proposal. The banks will then transmit the file for technical review by a commission within the ministry, which will subsequently inform the bank of its approval or rejection within the stipulated timeframe.
