Tunisian Court Hands Down Four-Year Prison Sentence to Ennahdha Leader
The Specialized Criminal Chamber for examining terrorism cases at the Tunis Court of First Instance has decided to sentence Ahmed Ouerghmi, a leader of the Ennahdha movement, to a four-year prison term, accompanied by a five-year administrative surveillance period that will begin after the prison sentence is served. This conviction comes in a case related to undermining public security, inciting violence, and plotting against the internal security of the state.
