Demolition of Illegal Constructions on Public Maritime Domain
Yesterday, Monday, the joint regional control services of the Bizerte governorate carried out more than four demolition and removal decisions targeting deliberate encroachments on the public maritime domain, which their owners had established without legal authorization in the Birmet El Koutrane area of Ras Angela, in the Bizerte South delegation.
According to Maher Khacharim, head of the regional section of the Coastal Protection and Development Agency (APAL) in Bizerte, this operation is part of the recommendations of the Regional Emergency Response Committee and the Regional Security Council, aiming to continue countering all forms of infringement and violation of the law and public and private domains of all types, whether terrestrial, maritime, or forest.
The governorate services, APAL, Bizerte municipality, and Bizerte South delegation, reinforced by the mobile units of the Maritime Guard, mobilized all logistical and human means to execute the demolition and removal decisions. They also drew up several reports after some individuals persisted in erecting walls and constructions without any legal right.
The joint control services will continue to work on executing the various decisions issued for this purpose in the different regions of the governorate, according to the same source.
