Electric Vehicle Procurement Deadline Confirmed by ANME

Abdelhamid Gannouni, Director of Energy Efficiency for the Transport and Agriculture sectors at the National Agency for Energy Management (ANME), announced on Thursday, 26 February 2026 that 13 February was the deadline for public institutions, state‑owned companies, and local authorities to submit their interest in acquiring electric vehicles.

Speaking on radio, Gannouni highlighted that more than 150 requests have been received, surpassing the original target of 100 units. In the first phase, the agency will fulfill the first 100 requests and will explore solutions to accommodate the remaining demand, with plans to extend the programme to ministries.
