Dismantling of a Vehicle Theft Network
The agents and officers of the El Menzah judicial police brigade, in collaboration with the El Manar national security post, have successfully dismantled a network and arrested a young man suspected of being involved in a series of vehicle break-ins. The suspect used sophisticated jamming techniques to neutralize remote locking systems.
Background
According to available data, the El Manar national security post had received several complaints about thefts of objects inside cars. Curiously, none of these cars showed signs of forced entry on the doors or broken windows.
Investigation and Arrest
Thanks to the intensification of investigations conducted by the officers of the El Menzah judicial police and the El Manar post, a suspicious vehicle was identified, which was present at the scene of each theft. After identifying the owner of the vehicle, a raid was carried out. The authorities found in his possession:
- Sophisticated jamming devices for car locking systems
- Other technical devices
- Bank cards and computers of unknown origin
- Various stolen objects
Legal Proceedings
After consulting with the public prosecutor's office, it was decided to place the suspect in custody for the purposes of the investigation.
