Preparations for Eid al-Adha: Manouba Municipality Deploys Special Waste Management Systems

In preparation for Eid al-Adha, the Manouba municipality has announced the deployment of specialized waste management systems to handle the festival's waste. A total of 3 large dumpsters and 13 dedicated skin collection points have been installed across various areas of the commune.

To ensure the success of this environmental campaign, municipal authorities have issued a pressing appeal to residents. Citizens are urged to salt the skins before depositing them in sealed plastic bags.

This procedure is deemed crucial by the municipality to facilitate the sorting process and enable the subsequent valorization of the leather.

Note: Eid al-Adha, also known as the Festival of Sacrifice, is a significant Islamic holiday where animals are sacrificed as a symbol of devotion and gratitude. The festival generates a substantial amount of waste, including animal skins, which can be challenging to manage. The Manouba municipality's initiative aims to promote environmentally responsible practices during the festival.
