Bilateral Relations Between Tunisia and Egypt Strengthened
The meeting focused on ways to support bilateral relations between Tunisia and Egypt, both at the official and popular levels. The two parties emphasized the importance of continuing to develop cooperation in various fields. This meeting took place on the sidelines of the 18th session of the Tunisian-Egyptian High Joint Commission in Cairo, considered a strategic platform for strengthening ties and exploring new opportunities, particularly in the areas of trade and investment, in the common interest of the two brotherly peoples.
During this meeting, they also discussed the current state of cooperation between the two countries and the common desire to strengthen it further in all areas. They stressed the need to remove all obstacles in order to create a strong Tunisian-Egyptian economic partnership, based on mutual benefits and interests, and to enable the implementation of major investment projects in both countries.
The two officials also exchanged views on regional and international issues of common interest. They emphasized the importance of strengthening coordination and cooperation between the two countries to address regional challenges and work together to resolve regional crises.
An agreement was reached to encourage the private sector in both countries to implement joint development projects on the African continent, which will strengthen the Tunisian and Egyptian presence in their regional environment.
The Egyptian President conveyed his greetings and deepest respect to President Kaïs Saïed, praising his efforts to lead the reform process, strengthen economic growth, and achieve fair development in Tunisia. He also renewed his invitation to his Tunisian counterpart to attend the inauguration ceremony of the Grand Egyptian Museum, scheduled for November 2025.
Finally, the Head of Government conveyed to President al-Sissi the most sincere feelings of affection and respect from the President of the Republic, as well as his best wishes for progress and prosperity for the Egyptian people. She also expressed Kaïs Saïed's wish to welcome him on an official visit to Tunisia.
