The Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population announced on Friday the death of eight people and the injury of 35 others in a fire that broke out in a clothing factory located in the El Yamani region, in the district of Mahalla El Kubra, Gharbia province, west of Cairo.

According to the official statement, the fire started in the morning due to an electrical short circuit that caused a fire and the explosion of a boiler, resulting in the partial collapse of the building.

The ministry immediately dispatched 26 medically equipped ambulances to the scene, allowing for the rapid transfer of the injured to regional hospitals.
