Ministry of Education Publishes Continuous Assessment Calendar for Public Colleges and High Schools for the 2025-2026 Academic Year
The Ministry of Education published, yesterday, the continuous assessment calendar specific to public colleges and high schools for the 2025-2026 academic year. This decision follows a circular addressed by the Minister of Education to regional education delegates, secondary education inspectors, and directors of colleges and high schools.
Objective of the Calendar
According to the document, this calendar aims to:
- Reinforce the effectiveness of the continuous assessment system
- Concretize the evaluation of student achievements
- Remedy gaps and consolidate learning
- Ensure the continuity and regularity of evaluation, in accordance with the principle of equity and equal opportunities
First Trimester Schedule
- Control assignments must be completed and corrected before November 22, 2025
- Synthesis assignments will take place from December 1 to 6, 2025, while ensuring the normal course of classes
- The blocked week (exams) will be organized from December 8 to 13, 2025
Second Trimester Schedule
- The deadline for assignments and corrections is set for February 14, 2026
- Synthesis assignments will take place from February 23 to 28, 2026, with the normal continuation of classes
- The blocked week will be organized from March 2 to 7, 2026
Third Trimester Schedule
- For 7th, 8th, and 9th years of basic education, and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd years of secondary education:
- The deadline for completing and correcting control assignments is May 9, 2026
- Synthesis assignments will take place on May 13, 14, 15, 16, 18, and 19, 2026, while ensuring the normal course of classes
- The blocked week will be organized on May 20, 21, 22, 23, 25, and 26, 2026
- For the 4th year of secondary education (terminal):
- The deadline for completing and correcting control assignments is May 2, 2026
- Synthesis assignments will take place on May 6, 7, 8, 11, 12, and 13, 2026
