Electronic Transactions in Tunisia Reach New Milestone
Electronic transactions in Tunisia have exceeded 14 million operations, with a total value of nearly one billion dinars, according to the latest data from the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT).
Despite this progress, the widespread use of cash-on-delivery payments continues to hinder the development of e-commerce, warned Khabbab Hadhri in a recent statement to RTCI. The Director of E-commerce and Digital Economy Development called for an acceleration of the transition to digital payment solutions and for strengthening consumer trust in online payment methods, considering these levers essential for the structuring and sustainable growth of the sector.
