The 10th Edition of "Dream City" Event to Take Place from October 3 to 19, 2025
The 10th edition of the "Dream City" event will be held from October 3 to 19, 2025, under the theme: "Fragments of an Unfinished World: Reflections in Times of Slow Collapse." This edition features 56 artistic works from 22 countries, interpreted by 56 artists, including 8 Tunisians and 48 artists from around the world.
Festival Activities
The festival activities will be spread across 31 spaces in the capital, including 26 in the Medina (Old City) and 5 in downtown Tunis. Like previous editions, "Dream City" is an opportunity to transform the alleys and spaces of the Medina into artistic exhibition venues, offering a platform for exchange, meetings, and dialogue, and allowing for the breaking of cultural and social barriers between Tunisian and foreign participants, as well as with the public.
Program Highlights
The program includes:
- Visual arts exhibitions
- Performances
- Installations
- Workshops
- Debates
- Choreographic and musical performances
- A special program for children titled "Kharbka City"
Moral Axis: Palestine
This 10th edition places Palestine, present in the event since 2010, as a compass through several artistic moments. The most notable is the pre-opening artistic performance titled "Tarab," which will be presented on October 2. This event will pay tribute to Palestinian choreographers Ahmed Medhat and Momen Khalifa, who were killed in Gaza in 2024. Palestine is not posed as a "subject" of this edition, but rather as a moral center of gravity that guides its vision to denounce the crimes of the Israeli occupation, which seeks to erase the identity of the Palestinian people.
Statement from the Organizers
According to a statement from the "L'Art Rue" association, which has been organizing the event since 2007, this year's festival seeks to take a stand for humanity and refuse neutrality in the face of what is happening in the world. It clearly states that the events in Gaza are a genocide and a deliberate erasure of Palestinian identity, under the eyes of the world and with international complicity.
