Increase in Umrah Pilgrims: A 10% Rise Compared to 2025
Sami Ben Saïdane, Vice-President of the Tunisian Federation of Travel and Tourism Agencies (FTAV), announced the news: the number of pilgrims performing Umrah continues to increase every year.
Indeed, during a phone intervention broadcast on Thursday, February 12, 2026, on the Tunisian National Radio, Mr. Ben Saïdane indicated that the number of pilgrims has recorded a increase of more than 10% compared to 2025. He specified that this figure has risen from 120,000 pilgrims in 2025 to approximately 135,000 during the current year.
Regarding prices, the FTAV official stated that while prices fluctuate between 4,500 and 5,500 dinars throughout the year, during the month of Ramadan, the price of Umrah experiences a significant increase. "During the first half of the holy month, prices will vary this year between 5,000 and 6,500 dinars, depending on the chosen range of services," he said. He added that for the second half of Ramadan, prices are expected to reach new heights, ranging from 7,500 to 8,500 dinars.
It is worth noting that during Ramadan 2025, Umrah cost 5,000 dinars during the first half of Ramadan, which is 15% less than this year. The price of Umrah during the second half of the holy month was only 6,000 dinars in 2025. This represents a 30% increase this year.
During the regular season, Umrah prices in 2025 ranged from 4,000 to 5,000 dinars. This year, prices will fluctuate between 4,500 and 5,500 dinars, representing a 10-12% increase compared to last year.
