Norway's Ministry of Foreign Affairs Announces Emergency Plan to Increase Support for Palestinian Authority
The Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Friday that a group of countries providing financial aid to the Palestinian Authority (PA) has approved an emergency plan to increase their support. Countries such as Saudi Arabia, Spain, United Kingdom, Japan, and France are among those backing this initiative, dubbed the "International Emergency Coalition for Financing Support to the Palestinian Authority". The total amount of funding to be collected through this initiative has not been immediately specified. The Norwegian government, for its part, has announced its decision to contribute 40 million Norwegian crowns (approximately $4.0 million).
