Arab-Islamic Emergency Summit: Tunisia Calls for Unity and Cooperation
At the extraordinary Arab-Islamic summit held today in Doha, Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration, and Tunisians Abroad, Mohamed Ali Nafti, called for Arab-Islamic unity and cooperation to counter the threats posed by the occupying entity to regional and global peace, security, and stability.
International Community Urged to Act
Tunisia also urged the international community, particularly the United Nations Security Council, to assume its legal, moral, and humanitarian responsibilities to put an end to the massacres, famine, and terrorism perpetrated in Palestinian territories.
Intensifying International Pressure
The country demanded that international partners in the region take a clear stance against the crimes committed by the Zionist entity and push for an immediate cessation of its aggression against the Gaza Strip and its attacks on regional nations and peoples.
Solidarity with Qatar and the Danger of Escalation
Tunisia expressed its solidarity with Qatar following the recent Zionist attack on the country. Tunisia reaffirmed its total support for Qatar's efforts to defend its territorial sovereignty, considering the crimes committed by the Zionist entity to be a grave violation of international conventions and laws, as well as a threat to Arab and Islamic security.
Condemning Aggressive Approach
Tunisia highlighted the gravity of the Zionist entity's continued aggressive and arrogant approach, which has not only resulted in nearly two years of genocide and famine against the Palestinian people but has also extended to several Arab and Islamic countries, including Qatar, which has acted as a mediator for a ceasefire in Gaza.
Call to Action and Shared Vision
Reaffirming its principled position in support of the Palestinian people, Tunisia recalled its support for the recovery of the Palestinians' legitimate and inalienable rights, including the establishment of an independent and sovereign state on the entire territory of Palestine, with Al Qods (Jerusalem) as its capital.
Hope for Concrete Action
Finally, Tunisia expressed hope that the summit would lead to concrete and tangible actions, resulting in clear support for Qatar and the Palestinian people's struggle, thus realizing the shared vision of Arab security as an unavoidable strategic choice. The country concluded by affirming that the Arab-Islamic nation possesses the necessary assets to reconcile, restore confidence in its capabilities, and play an active role in achieving human justice and building universal civilization.
