Djerba Music Land Festival Nominated for Prestigious Heavent Festival Awards

The Djerba Music Land festival has been nominated for the Heavent Festival Awards, one of the most prestigious European awards dedicated to major music events. This nomination recognizes the work and creativity of the Tunisia Music Land teams, organizers of this festival created in 2016, and confirms Djerba's position on the map of major clubbing destinations in the Mediterranean basin.

The Heavent Festival Awards reward the most notable music events in different categories each year. The selected festivals defend their application before a jury of experts during a six-minute presentation, before the final deliberation. Djerba Music Land will compete in the "Best International Festival - Capacity of 5,000 to 15,000 people per day" category, alongside musical events organized in Romania and Morocco.

"This nomination is a great recognition of the work accomplished over these ten editions. We are proud to represent Djerba and to fly the flag of our island, a true stronghold of this festival that continues to grow," declares Mohamed Jerad, founder of Djerba Music Land and general manager of Tunisia Music Land.

The award ceremony will take place on November 5, 2025, in Paris. A total of 14 awards will be presented, evaluated according to 7 performance criteria: CSR integration, production and logistics, programming, media and economic impact, services to festival-goers, partner space, as well as innovation and creativity. The jury, composed of 14 personalities from the event world, brings together marketing professionals, representatives of major sponsor brands, a senior official from the French Ministry of Culture, and directors of the Heavent Festival Awards.

A must-attend event of the summer on the island, Djerba Music Land attracts several thousand festival-goers each year. Having become a true showcase for international clubbing, it hosts renowned DJs while offering a stage for local talent to express themselves, contributing to the island's cultural and musical vitality every summer. Beyond its artistic dimension, the festival is a major economic lever for the island, stimulating tourist and hotel activity thanks to the influx of festival-goers from all over the country.

During its 10th edition, held in August 2025 at the Grand Casino site, Djerba Music Land strengthened its social commitment with the creation of the Djerba Music Land Market, a space dedicated to promoting local craftsmanship. This market brought together artisans and creators from the region offering unique clothing, jewelry, accessories, bags, and art objects. Through this initiative, the festival affirms its desire to showcase Djerbian know-how and allow other economic actors to benefit from the positive fallout of the event, while enriching the cultural and human experience of its visitors.

On an artistic level, each edition of Djerba Music Land is distinguished by constant evolution, both creatively and technically. The festival hosts internationally renowned DJs while making a point of promoting the young Tunisian scene. By offering these emerging talents a genuine platform for expression and visibility, the event actively contributes to their professional development, opening the way to new opportunities on the national and international music scene.
