International Drug Trafficking Network Dismantled in Kairouan
The agents and officers of the secondary administration for combating narcotics at the judicial police directorate of Kairouan have successfully dismantled an international network specialized in drug trafficking and marketing.
According to Mosaïque Fm, an individual from a Maghreb country was arrested in the Jelma delegation, Sidi Bouzid governorate, in possession of 74 plates of cannabis hidden in the doors of his car. The investigations revealed that the suspect intended to deliver this quantity to a known trafficker, nicknamed "l'Éléphant or El Fil", in the Douar Hicher region, who was the subject of 15 arrest warrants and was later apprehended.
Two other individuals, including one from a Maghreb country, were also arrested. The security forces seized 20,000 dinars, 3,000 euros, and three vehicles suspected of being used in the network's activities.
