Discovery of a Secret Warehouse of School and Office Supplies
The regional brigade of the municipal police of Tunis discovered, on Friday, September 12, 2025, a clandestine warehouse of school and office supplies. According to a statement from the Ministry of the Interior, significant quantities of goods, with a total value of around 4 million dinars, were seized.
Operation Against Speculation and Price Manipulation
This operation is part of the fight against speculation, monopolization, and illegal price increases. A report was established, and the goods were seized and handed over to the Ministry of Commerce. The Ministry has committed to redistributing all products to wholesalers so that they can be sold through legal distribution channels.
Follow-up to Previous Inspections
This discovery follows control campaigns conducted two days ago in bookstores and school supply stores in the governorates of Tunis, Ben Arous, and Sousse. These inspections had already resulted in the seizure of 22,392 subsidized or semi-finished notebooks, which were also made available to the Ministry of Commerce for further legal action.
