Tunisia Announces Subsidized Travel Tickets for Families with Limited Income

The Tunisian Office Abroad has announced the implementation of subsidized travel tickets for families with limited income, consisting of four or more people, who wish to return to Tunisia from France this summer. This measure applies to crossings by the Tunisian Navigation Company as well as flights by the national carrier Tunisair.

According to a statement from the Tunisian Embassy in Paris, this initiative is a concrete realization of the decisions made by the restricted ministerial council on April 25, 2026. Eligible citizens are invited to contact the social services department of the diplomatic mission in Paris to submit their requests.

Maritime Transport Conditions and Tariffs

Reservations for the Carthage and Tanit ships are open from May 11 to June 15, 2026. The subsidy amount has been set at €80 (approximately 270 Tunisian dinars) per family member and €100 (338 Tunisian dinars) for a single individual meeting the eligibility criteria.

Air Transport Provisions

Regarding Tunisair flights, reservations must be made between May 11 and 20, 2026, for trips scheduled between June 17 and August 20, 2026. The financial assistance amounts to €100 (338 Tunisian dinars) per family member and increases to €150 (507 Tunisian dinars) for individual travelers.

To benefit from this direct reduction, applicants must submit a complete file including the identities of the travelers, desired travel dates, and contact information. The final agreement remains subject to the validation of support conditions and the availability of places on the proposed dates.
