Tunisian Pilgrims Abroad: 100 People to Perform Hajj This Year
Anis Mzoughi, in charge of managing the Hajj and Umrah Directorate and a member of the Tunisian Pilgrims Affairs Bureau, announced that 100 Tunisian residents abroad will perform Hajj this year. Four flights have been scheduled for their transportation to the holy sites.
In an interview on national radio, Mzoughi clarified that these four flights will transport the pilgrims from abroad to the holy sites, with two flights scheduled to depart tomorrow, Thursday. Upon arrival in Mecca, they will perform the Tawaf and Sa'y rituals and complete all the Hajj rites.
Mzoughi also emphasized that all Tunisian pilgrims currently present on site are in good health, while recalling the earlier death of pilgrim Mohamed Barhoumi from Sidi Bouzid.
To date, approximately 9,000 Tunisian pilgrims have already arrived at the holy sites, awaiting the arrival of two additional flights on Wednesday. Nearly 4,700 of them first traveled to Medina, where they visited the Rawdah Sharifah and other religious sites, before being transferred from the Abyar Ali miqat to Mecca, where they were accommodated in three different hotels. Mzoughi concluded by stating that all pilgrims already in Mecca have already completed their first rituals.
