Establishing a Permanent and Fluid Connection between Young Specialized Talents in Digital Development and Companies Seeking Innovative Performance

The Africa XR Job project proposes to fill a real gap by establishing a permanent and fluid connection between young specialized talents in digital development and companies seeking innovative performance. Launched in September 2024 and running until February 2026, this project is co-financed by the EU and German cooperation. It is part of the third component of the Skills Initiative for Africa (Sifa) program, which focuses on access to innovation.

A Long-Awaited Response

The project comes as a long-awaited response to the needs of students, young graduates, economic institutions, companies, and universities to resolve the difficulties hindering the recruitment of young talents. It provides two fundamental products to promote digital development, facilitate access to innovative digital technologies, access to training and employment, and invest in young talents to dynamize a promising and profitable field. The idea is to invest in both human and artificial intelligence.

The Program

The project is based on two virtual mechanisms: a program and a platform. The program was launched in September 2024 by associations working in digital development, in close collaboration with the General Delegation for Regional Development. Economic institutions and others, academic representatives from the North, Center, and South regions, are involved in its implementation through three regions: Monastir, Borj Cedria, and Gabès. The axes are centered around three fundamental objectives: strengthening skills, linking academic training to the job market, and encouraging entrepreneurship in the digital economy.

"TalentVerse": A First in Tunisia

Based on this vision, a virtual platform called "TalentVerse" has been created, a first in Tunisia. It consists of an active and interactive virtual system, focusing on training, employment, and entrepreneurship. With their PC or smartphone, young people can follow certified online training in areas such as 3D design, virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR), building data modeling (BIM), artificial intelligence (AI), and video game development. This training is provided in partnership with international virtual platforms and tools.

A Virtual Job Fair

Additionally, the platform offers a virtual job fair, including spaces for individual interviews and meetings. These meetings can bring together students and young graduates, as well as companies and investors. The management of these spaces is continuous and ensured by AI agents, using advanced analytical dashboards to guarantee the matching of suitable profiles and expressed needs.

Beneficiaries

Students and young graduates are the primary beneficiaries of this unique platform in our country and probably in our region. Thanks to these opportunities, they can benefit from real digital entrepreneurship paths, with virtual technical and consulting support, better access to incubators, and easier contact with investors, which was previously considered utopian. The platform, through virtual and reliable recruitment procedures, intelligent monitoring, and an interesting user experience, greatly opens up the way for the recruitment of young specialized talents in the digital field, especially since the Tunisian, European, and Canadian markets are full of opportunities to seize.

Benefits for Universities and Economic Institutions

On their part, universities and economic institutions will benefit from the platform and program, consolidating their technological and digital capacities and skills, as well as dynamizing the creation of startups.
