Salah Azaeiz Institute Launches Digital Patient File System

The Salah Azaeiz Institute, a specialist centre for cancer treatment, announced on Thursday the rollout of a digital patient‑record system. The initiative aims to raise service quality and cut waiting times across the health facility.

Modernising Administrative Services

The move is part of the institute’s broader effort to modernise its back‑office operations and adopt digital solutions that meet patients’ expectations. The centre sees a high daily volume of patients who require tightly coordinated care pathways and rapid handling.

Self‑Registration Kiosk: Faster Check‑In for Patients

In a video posted on its official Facebook page, the institute explained that a self‑registration kiosk has been installed, allowing patients to complete administrative steps more quickly. This reduces pressure on the front‑desk counters and saves time for both patients and their companions.

The registration process follows a few simple steps:

  1. After the consultation – the patient receives an appointment card with a QR code.
  2. On the day of the appointment – the patient goes straight to the self‑registration kiosk and either scans the QR code or manually enters the file number (referred to as the Index) printed on the card if the scan fails.
  3. The kiosk prints a ticket indicating the fees to be paid, based on the type of treatment.
  4. The patient proceeds to the counter to collect the medical file required for the upcoming examination.

Assistance During Peak Times

The institute added that, should a line form in front of the kiosk, patients can contact the General Supervisor whose office is located nearby. The supervisor will provide the necessary assistance to keep the flow smooth and efficient.
