Customs Seize Large Quantity of Smuggled Medications
The General Directorate of Customs announced on Friday, October 3, that its services at the Dhehiba border post foiled an attempt to smuggle 1,224 boxes of medications hidden in a foreign-registered vehicle.
Details of the Seized Cargo
The seized shipment includes treatments for:
- Cardiovascular diseases
- Hypertension
- Anemia
- Analgesics
- Various other pharmaceutical products
The Operation
The operation took place during customs checks on vehicles preparing to leave Tunisian territory.
Legal Proceedings
A seizure report was drawn up, and on the instruction of the public prosecutor's office, the case was referred to the competent security services for further investigation.
