Sadok Belaïd, Constitutional Law Scholar and Jurist, Has Passed Away

Professor emeritus of public law, Sadok Belaïd devoted several decades to university teaching and research in constitutional law. He served as dean of the Faculty of Legal, Political and Social Sciences of Tunis from 1971 to 1977, training generations of jurists and actively contributing to the development of legal thought in the country.

A recognized figure in the academic world, Belaïd was also a member of numerous national and international scientific and legal institutions, and he regularly participated in public debates on constitutional and institutional issues in Tunisia.

With his death, Tunisia loses one of its eminent constitutional law specialists, whose scholarly work and intellectual commitment have profoundly shaped the nation’s legal and political discourse.
