Artist and Actress Baya Bouzar, Known as "Biyouna", Passes Away
According to a report by the Algerian website "Ennahar Online", artist and actress Baya Bouzar, known on the artistic scene as "Biyouna", has passed away. The 73-year-old artist had been hospitalized since Tuesday, November 4. She was initially admitted to the hospital in Bainem, in the capital city of Algiers, before being transferred to the Beni Messous hospital, to the pneumology department. Actress Bouzar Baya was suffering from acute respiratory distress, as well as difficulty supplying oxygen to the brain due to a decrease in respiratory capacity. She was also suffering from complications related to cancer, a disease she had been battling since 2016.
