Renowned Footballer Cristiano Ronaldo Commissions Tunisian-Made Yacht
The famous footballer Cristiano Ronaldo has commissioned a yacht entirely manufactured in Tunisia, in Menzel Jemil, in the governorate of Bizerte, according to Montassar Dhiaf, president of the Professional Grouping of Naval Industries of the CONECT. This order illustrates the international influence of the Tunisian naval sector, a leader in Africa in the manufacture of yachts and fishing vessels.
Montassar Dhiaf stated that the Tunisian sector now covers the construction of pleasure boats, military vessels, and fishing boats, and has been producing 100% Tunisian military vessels since 2015, as well as intelligent remote-controlled vessels for coastal protection.
Challenges and Opportunities for the Tunisian Naval Sector
The president of the Grouping emphasized that despite this global success, the 2026 finance bill project does not provide any tax or incentive measures to support the development of the sector, which could nonetheless strengthen the Tunisian economy and the country's international visibility.
