JOZ Group Announces Establishment of New Production Unit in Tunisia

The JOZ Group, a major international player in the cosmetics industry, has announced its expansion into Tunisia with the creation of a new production unit in Bou Salem, in the Jendouba governorate. The future site will specialize in the manufacture of perfumes, cosmetics, and parapharmaceutical products.

According to initial information, the project will take the form of an integrated industrial complex, encompassing the entire value chain, from raw materials to finished products, with a stated goal of excellence in terms of quality and innovation.

A high-level delegation from the JOZ Group, led by its President and CEO, Nabil Joz, was received by Jalel Tebib, Director General of the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency (FIPA Tunisia). This visit, according to a statement released by the Agency, reflects the growing confidence of the JOZ Group in the Tunisian business climate. Founded in 1935, the group is today a global reference in the beauty and wellness industries.

The group has also confirmed its intention to recruit specialized technicians and rely heavily on local skills, contributing to the creation of qualified jobs in the region. This initiative is expected to have a significant social and economic impact, positioning Bou Salem as an emerging hub for high-value-added industries.

During the meeting, Jalel Tebib highlighted Tunisia's competitive advantages, including its attractive business environment, strategic geographical position, and institutional support for foreign investors.

For his part, Ibrahim Medini, General Engineer and Deputy Director of FIPA, emphasized the richness and quality of Tunisian aromatic and medicinal plants, whether cultivated or wild, and their potential in the production of high-end essential oils. The JOZ Group plans to integrate these natural resources into its production chains.

Nabil Joz also indicated that the group's ambitions go beyond the cosmetics sector. JOZ is also interested in the automotive sector, seeing Tunisia as a competitive industrial base for its regional expansion. The group has also expressed its willingness to invest in major national strategic projects, including the Taparura project in Sfax and the Ben Guerdane free zone, which were presented during the meeting.
