Corruption Investigation: Several Individuals Placed in Custody

The public prosecutor's office at the Economic and Financial Judicial Pole in Tunis authorized the Central Brigade of Economic and Financial Research of the National Guard in Laouina to place several individuals in custody yesterday as part of an investigation into suspected corruption.

Among those being held are:

A union representative
The general manager of an oil company under the Ministry of Industry, Energy, and Mines
Two employees of the company

According to a judicial source speaking to Diwan Fm, the investigation is ongoing to determine the responsibilities and potential implications of these individuals in the alleged corruption within the oil company.
