Joint Committee Between the Assembly of People's Representatives (ARP) and the National Council of Regions and Districts (CNRD) Meets to Finalize Review of Controversial Articles in the Finance Law
The joint committee between the Assembly of People's Representatives (ARP) and the National Council of Regions and Districts (CNRD) met this morning, Monday, December 8, 2025, to finalize the review of the controversial articles in the Finance Law. This committee was formed by consensus between the two councils yesterday. It is chaired by Representative Dhafer Sghiri, assisted by Slim Salem, a member of the National Council of Regions and Districts, and its rapporteur is Oussama Sahnoun (a member of the CNRD). Sahnoun stated to Mosaïque FM that the committee had practically reached an agreement on the various articles that had been rejected by the Council of Regions and Districts and had completed the review of the added articles. The committee decided to meet this evening with the Minister of Finance to further clarify the financial implications of certain added articles, as well as with the Secretary of State for Energy Transition to provide clarification on certain energy-related articles.
