Zionist Occupation Army and Its Propaganda Services: Masters of Mass Manipulation

The Zionist occupation army and its propaganda services are notorious for their expertise in mass manipulation, misinformation, and disinformation. Their preferred playground is the official or unofficial communication channels on social media platforms.

This was the case yesterday when the Zionist propaganda services shared photos of some detainees from the international "Soumoud" Flotilla, including Tunisian actor Mohamed Mrad and Swedish activist Greta Thunberg, all smiling. The goal of disseminating these images was to show the international public that the 443 pro-Palestinian activists arrested are "safe and sound," in "good health," and not subject to "torture" or "ill-treatment."

This mendacious message from a nauseating propaganda machine is intended for the press and the international community to consolidate the allegation of an enemy without faith or law, which boasts of having "the most moral army in the world."

However, as the Arabic proverb says, "The rope of lies is short." In fact, according to a statement by the Italian lawyers of the Global "Soumoud" Flotilla, released by the main Italian press agency, "Agenzia Nazionale Stampa Associata" (Ansa), the pro-Palestinian activists arrested were deprived of food and water for hours by the Zionist authorities after the seizure of the 39 ships of the humanitarian mission aimed at breaking the Gaza blockade, on Wednesday evening and Thursday morning.

"The detainees held by Israel were deprived of food and water for hours until yesterday evening," said the Italian legal team. "Apart from the bag of chips given to Greta (Thunberg) and shown to the cameras, nothing else was given to them," added the collective of Italian lawyers.

Regarding the alleged mistreatment of the activists, the lawyers affirm that "they have certainly suffered verbal violence. But also physical violence: they were bombarded with water cannons and forced to board the boats under the threat of a weapon."

The lawyers also demanded that the Italian government "require explanations regarding the video in which the minister (of National Security) (Itamar) Ben Gvir calls them terrorists." The latter proposed that the members of the Flotilla, before their expulsion, be subjected to prolonged detention in the high-security prison of Ketziot, the largest prison facility in the Zionist entity, located in the Negev desert, near the Egyptian border, and known for its inhumane detention conditions.

Meanwhile, jurist Suhad Bishara, director of the human rights defense association "Adalah" (Justice in French), which provides legal advice to the flotilla activists, fears that the activists may be treated "more harshly" than those arrested during previous interceptions.

Indeed, "a systematic and institutional policy based on abuse and torture" as well as "frequent acts of serious and arbitrary violence; sexual assaults; humiliation and degradation, deliberate starvation" and "unsanitary conditions; sleep deprivation, prohibition and punitive measures for religious worship" and "confiscation of all common and personal property; and refusal of adequate medical treatment," according to several testimonies collected in recent years from former detainees of this horror prison, relying on accounts presenting "horrible details" and "frightening similarities," and reported by the organization "Révolution Permanente."

Nevertheless, considering how previous activists were treated, such as Chris Smalls, a unionist at Amazon, who was violently assaulted and beaten by the Zionist army, the incarceration of the members of the "Global Soumoud" Flotilla bodes ill.

Unfortunately, several internet users have fallen into the trap of the Zionist occupier's propaganda and its war criminals by sharing, if not relaying, the photos taken by the enemy in an attempt to highlight the defiant attitude and mocking smile of the humanitarian flotilla activists.

Certainly, in the context of an informational war, each person has their own prism and way of communicating on social media, but beware of the pitfalls of Zionist propagandists.
