Ajyal Equality Regional Project to Hold Closing and Capitalization Ceremony in Tunis

The Ajyal Equality regional project will hold its closing and capitalization ceremony in Tunis, after three years of implementation in Tunisia, Morocco, Libya, and Algeria. Funded by the French Development Agency (AFD) and led by Expertise France, this program aims to strengthen gender equality and social justice within the Maghrebi feminist movement.

Key Objectives and Outcomes

The ceremony will present the project's main achievements and results, as well as innovative initiatives that have contributed to anchoring gender equality principles in the region. It will also serve as a platform for exchange between government representatives, civil society actors, media, and international partners.

Advocacy for Equality

A highlight of the event will be dedicated to advocacy for equality, featuring testimony from feminist associations that have benefited from the project and an intervention by gender expert Dorra Mahfoudh, offering concrete perspectives to strengthen commitment to women's rights.

Promoting Women's Rights and the Feminist Movement

The event aims to showcase the results achieved and reaffirm the partners' commitment to continuing the promotion of women's rights and the feminist movement in the Maghrebi region. By bringing together key stakeholders, the ceremony will provide an opportunity to reflect on the progress made and discuss future strategies for advancing gender equality and social justice in the region.
