The 32nd edition of the Cairo International Festival for Experimental Theatre has come to a close, with the Tunisian play "Le Jardin des Amoureux" taking home the award for best director. The play, directed by Moez Achouri, was also nominated for best text and best production.

The closing ceremony, held at the Al-Jomhouria Theatre, was attended by numerous figures from the Arab and international theatre scene. In a festive and warm atmosphere, the awards honored the diversity of creations from countries such as Iraq, Bahrain, Italy, Romania, and Tunisia. "Le Jardin des Amoureux" particularly caught the attention of the jury, thanks to its strong visual and dramatic impact, earning Moez Achouri the award for best director.

The play was also nominated for best text, which was ultimately awarded to Iraqi playwright Jawad Al-Assadi for his play "The Circus". The award for best production went to the Romanian play "Hashtag NotL".

In addition to this Tunisian achievement, the awards also recognized Iraqi actress Chatha Salem as best actress for her role in "The Circus", the Italian play "Coppelia" for best set design, and Bahraini actor Mohamed Abdallah and Iraqi actor Alaa Qahtan as joint best actors.

This 32nd edition, marked by a week of performances, debates, and workshops, confirmed Cairo's role as a hub for contemporary theatrical experiences, where experimentation is the universal language of encounter and dialogue.
