Tunisian Films Shine at Baghdad Film Festival

The Tunisian film "Soudan Ya Ghali" by director Hind Meddeb won the award for best documentary film at the closing of the second edition of the Baghdad Film Festival. The event, which took place in the Iraqi capital, offered a week of screenings and artistic and cultural activities.

The Tunisian film "Sur le fil" by director Sahar Al-Achi also received an award, winning the jury prize for short films.

This edition was a special occasion to pay tribute to Tunisian cinema, which was the guest of honor at the festival. The Iraqi public was able to discover a selection of the most notable Tunisian cinematic works, both recent and older, as specified by the Ministry of Culture on its official Facebook page.

Intellectual meetings also took place, bringing together Tunisian, Iraqi, and Arab filmmakers, as well as open discussions on the Tunisian cinematic experience and its notable presence at the Arab and international levels.
