Chinese Company Foxit to Open Branch in Tunisia

The Chinese company Foxit, a global leader in digital document management and electronic signature solutions, is considering opening a branch in Tunisia soon, announced the Tunisian embassy in Beijing.

According to a statement released on Wednesday, this intention was expressed during a meeting between the Tunisian ambassador to Beijing, Adel Arbi, and Zhang Lu, director of international development at Foxit's cooperation department, a company specializing in communication technologies and digital solutions. Also present was Abdelkhalek Dhakkar, economic and commercial counselor of the Tunisian mission. The meeting is part of the efforts of Tunisian economic diplomacy to attract more Chinese investments.

During the interview, the Foxit representative presented the group's activities, based in the coastal province of Fujian, and recalled its positioning among the largest international companies in the field of digital document management. He highlighted the group's ability to develop software adapted to various technological uses, which has enabled it to extend its presence in China and several regions of the world.

Zhang Lu specified that Foxit already has branches in America, Australia, and Europe, adding that the company now wishes to strengthen its presence on the African continent. He expressed particular interest in Tunisia, citing the skills of its human resources in digital technologies and the advantages related to its geographical position.

The Tunisian ambassador welcomed this interest and presented to his interlocutor the incentives and facilities offered to foreign companies wishing to invest in Tunisia, recalling the country's assets, considered one of the African leaders in information technology and software development.
