Ministry of Health Announces 2nd Edition of Sino-African Medical Forum in 2027
The Ministry of Health announced on Monday the organization of the 2nd edition of the Sino-African Medical Forum in 2027 in China. This announcement was made following a meeting between the Minister of Health, Mustapha Ferjani, and a delegation from the Ministry of Health of the People's Republic of China. During the meeting, it was agreed to form Tunisian-Chinese working teams to follow up on the recommendations of the Tunis Forum on Sino-African medicine, which was held on November 21 and 22, 2025.
Key Outcomes of the Meeting
The meeting brought together representatives from several regions and health and industry establishments in China's Jiangxi province, officials from the Ministry of Health, and medical personnel working with Chinese teams. It allowed for an evaluation of the forum's results and progress made.
During the meeting, it was agreed to:
- Establish a follow-up calendar for the forum's recommendations
- Schedule future meetings
- Strengthen cooperation in the areas of training, health services, and consolidate the exchange of experiences and partnerships in the fields of scientific research, digitization, and artificial intelligence

The Minister of Health emphasized that Tunisia will begin preparations for the next edition of the forum, aiming to consolidate its position as a regional platform for health cooperation between China and Africa.
