Chinese Ambassador to Tunisia Highlights Country's Scientific Competence and Attractiveness to Investors

The Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Tunisia, Wan Li, stated on Friday that Tunisia serves as a regional hub for scientific expertise, thanks to the quality of its workforce and human assets, making it an attractive pole for foreign investors, including Chinese ones.

In an interview with the Tunisian News Agency (TAP), Wan Li emphasized that highly qualified local skills represent a strategic pillar of national development, noting that China can benefit from the excellence of Tunisian talents. He added that his country is actively working to strengthen cooperation in emerging industries in Africa, particularly in Tunisia, in areas such as technological innovation, digital economy, and energy transition.

The Ambassador also indicated that several Chinese companies specializing in technological innovation are seeking to establish partnerships with Tunisian companies that have recognized expertise in resolving advanced technological problems at the regional level. Highlighting the qualities of Tunisian engineers, who are polyglot and able to learn quickly, Wan Li estimated that these skills facilitate their integration into the regional strategies of Chinese companies.

Finally, he called for consolidating Sino-Tunisian cooperation to develop African skills, paving the way for a trilateral partnership between China, Tunisia, and the African continent in the fields of knowledge and technology.
