A magnitude 6.0 earthquake hit the Akqi district of the Kizilsu Kirghiz Autonomous Prefecture in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of northwest China on Thursday at 15:44 Beijing time, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).
