Enfidha-Hammamet Airport Welcomes First Flight from Bulgarian Airline Electra Airways
This morning, Enfidha-Hammamet Airport received the inaugural flight from Bulgarian airline Electra Airways. The flight was operated on a 149-seat Boeing 737-400, directly from the Bulgarian cities of Varna and Burgas, both renowned for their rich cultural heritage and tourist attractions. To mark this new connection, TAV Tunisia organized a welcoming ceremony in Tunisian colors: the crew was presented with flowers, received a personalized welcome, and a large welcome banner gave the event a strong symbolic dimension.
This new route opens a double connection to Bulgaria, with two weekly frequencies linking Enfidha to the seaside resorts of Varna and Burgas. It will thus facilitate tourist and cultural exchanges between the two countries, offering travelers new opportunities for discovery. On this occasion, Ms. Mélanie Lefebvre, General Manager of TAV Tunisia, stated: "The arrival of Electra Airways illustrates our commitment to diversifying our horizons and connecting Tunisia to new markets. By welcoming these direct connections from Varna and Burgas, we are not only strengthening the attractiveness of the Tunisian destination but also the strategic role of Enfidha Airport as a vital gateway for Mediterranean tourism." With Electra Airways, a new era of cooperation, exchange, and discovery begins between Bulgaria and Tunisia.
