Saturday Night Concert at Dougga's Ancient Theatre
The ancient theatre of Dougga hosted a spectacular evening on Saturday, with the first of two performances by international superstar Bryan Adams. The event took place in an exceptional atmosphere, blending the majesty of the archaeological site with the enthusiasm of a wildly excited audience.
A Night to Remember
The concert began around 8:45 PM, with the artist performing his greatest hits, which were enthusiastically sung along to by the massive crowd. Some spectators, who had traveled from all corners of Tunisia, had started arriving more than five hours before the show began. The event also took on an international dimension, with fans from Europe, America, Canada, and various Arab countries in attendance.
A Star-Studded Event
The evening was marked by the presence of Tunisia's Minister of Culture, Amina Srarfi, accompanied by several foreign diplomats, including the Canadian Ambassador to Tunisia. During his interactions with the audience, Bryan Adams expressed his joy at visiting Tunisia for the first time. He praised the country's pleasant climate, joking that it was as cold as Canada. The rockstar also sang the praises of Tunisian cuisine, confessing his love for couscous, which he described as "delicious".
A Gesture of Solidarity
In a display of solidarity, the artist expressed his sympathy towards fans who were unable to enter the theatre, calling on the organizers to find a solution to allow them to follow the concert. This concert is part of Bryan Adams' global tour, with a second performance scheduled for Sunday on the same historic stage at Dougga.
