Arrest of a Young Man Accused of Violently Assaulting his Elderly Mother
Units from the Menzel Bourguiba judicial police brigade in the Bizerte governorate have arrested a young man accused of violently assaulting his elderly mother. The victim, whose photos showing signs of violence had circulated on social media, suffered severe injuries that required her transfer to the Menzel Bourguiba regional hospital, where she was placed under medical supervision. According to a security source, the suspect, who had attempted to flee, was handed over to the brigade responsible for combating violence against women and children to continue the investigation.
