Nighttime Control Operation in Bizerte
The control services of the municipal police and the Regional Directorate of Commerce, in coordination with the security services of the National Security District of Bizerte, carried out a large-scale nighttime control operation. This operation, which covered all intersections at the entrances to the city of Bizerte, allowed for more than 80 checks to be carried out on means of transport, particularly goods trucks, according to an official source from the Regional Unit of the Municipal Police. The same source added to the Tunis-Afrique-Presse (TAP) news agency that the control operation continued throughout the night until dawn. It enabled the redirection of 22.6 tons of fruits and vegetables, as well as 670 kg of fish, to legal distribution channels. These nighttime control operations are conducted in accordance with the decisions of the Regional Security Council and the Regional Committee for Price Control and the Fight against Smuggling and Parallel Trade.
