Appointed as the US Ambassador to Tunisia in October 2025, Bill Bazzi previously served as the mayor of Dearborn Heights, Michigan, after being elected in 2021. He also held the position of interim president of the city council prior to that. A former officer in the US Marine Corps, he served for 21 years, completing complex missions and collaborating with diplomats and foreign leaders.
