Ben Guerdane Delegate Confirms Creation of a New Memorial
Ben Guerdane (Medenine Governorate) – Sami Khalifa, the delegate of Ben Guerdane, confirmed on Saturday, 7 March 2026 the establishment of a memorial—Martyrs’ Square—dedicated to the heroes of the 7 March epic. He stressed that this event will remain permanently etched in the collective memory of Tunisians as a powerful symbol of resilience and victory over terrorism.
In a statement granted to Afef Ouledani, the correspondent of Radio Nationale, Khalifa clarified that the commemorative celebrations began on 2 March, featuring a diverse program of cultural, social, health, sports, and religious activities.
A Historic Tribute
The delegate recalled that the city of Ben Guerdane delivered a lesson of heroism written in golden letters in the history of Tunisia and the world. He highlighted the indelible image of cohesion among the security forces, the military, and the people, affirming that this unity will stay etched in time.
