Extension Work on Southern Entrance of the Capital: Partial Traffic Diversion to be Extended
As part of the ongoing extension work on the southern entrance of the capital, phase 03, the Ministry of Equipment and Housing informs all road users that the partial traffic diversion period will be extended by one night. This diversion affects Regional Road 22 near the Ben Arous burns hospital. It will take place on the night of Friday, September 19, 2025, from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM, in order to continue the demolition of the old bridge that spans Regional Road 22, near the hospital.
Alternative Route
Road users heading towards Tunis can turn left to take the road leading to Hammamet, which will become bidirectional for approximately 100 meters, then turn right to return to the road towards Tunis.
Safety Precautions
The Ministry of Equipment and Housing calls on all road users to exercise caution, reduce their speed in the work zone, and respect traffic signs.
