Judicial Police Units Dismantle Criminal Network Specializing in Narcotics
The judicial police units of Bardo have successfully dismantled a criminal network specializing in the detention, storage, manufacture, and sale of narcotics. This operation, conducted in close coordination with the Tunis 1 prosecutor's office, has put an end to the activities of this cell, which was operating in the region, according to information reported by an official source to Jawhara FM.
All members of the network have been placed in custody. During the intervention, security forces seized approximately two kilograms of raw cannabis resin, known as "zatla", which was prepared to be transformed and packaged for sale. In addition to the drugs, agents also found a sum of money amounting to 2,010 dinars, two stun grenades, and a large saber.
Several mobile phones were also confiscated to be subjected to the necessary technical expertise. While the suspects remain in detention, investigations are ongoing to identify potential accomplices and trace the entirety of their illicit activities.
