Tunisian Actor Hamouda Ben Hassine Wins Best Actor Award at Baghdad International Theater Festival
The Tunisian actor Hamouda Ben Hassine has won the best actor award at the sixth edition of the Baghdad International Theater Festival. He was crowned for his role in the play "Jacaranda", written by Abdelhalim Massoudi, directed by Nizar Saïdi, and produced by the Tunisian National Theater Establishment. The sixth edition of the Baghdad International Festival, which began on October 10, ended last night with the awarding of prizes to the winners. The Indian play "Dance of the Weave" won the best show award, while the best collective performance award went to the Iranian play "Particles of Chaos". The jury awarded its special prize to the Spanish play "The Garden of the Hesperides". The Iraqi Muhannad Hadi won the best directing award for the play "Ma'tam Al-Sayyid Al-Walid" (The Funeral of Mr. Father), while the best theatrical writing award (best play) went to the Iraqi Alaa Qahtan for the play "Talaq Muqaddas" (Sacred Divorce).
