Kasserine Regional Hospital Obtains University Status

The Badr Eddine Aloui Regional Hospital in Kasserine has officially obtained university status, pursuant to a joint decree signed by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Minister of Health, dated October 30, 2025. The decision was published in the Official Journal of the Tunisian Republic (JORT) No. 131 of October 31, 2025.

According to the Regional Director of Health in Kasserine, Abdelghani Chaâbani, the establishment now meets the required conditions to access this status. It has eight hospital-university services, supervised by qualified medical and academic staff, in accordance with the standards set by the competent authorities.

This recognition marks an important step in strengthening medical and university capacities in the Kasserine region, contributing to improving the training of medical students and the quality of healthcare in the country's northwest.
