The Press — New Printing, Press, and Publishing Company "Snipe-The Press"
The new printing, press, and publishing company "Snipe-The Press", represented by its two newspapers La Presse and Assahafa Al Yaoum, won yesterday the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes awarded to the three journalists Meriem Khedimallah, Mohamed Hedi Abdellaoui, and Faten Kasraoui during the Award Ceremony of the first edition of the "Sino-Tunisian Friendship Prize" Competition.
Speaking before a large audience of journalists and Tunisian media officials, Chinese Ambassador to Tunisia, Wan Li, reiterated his country's determination to strengthen ties with Tunisia, emphasizing the importance of looking together in the same direction, that of sustainable development. "We aspire to expand cooperation with Tunisia to move forward together towards a bright future for our two friendly peoples. And journalists will play a decisive role in enlightening the decision-makers of both countries," he affirmed.
The journalists present expressed their growing interest in issues related to the Chinese approach, which continues to fascinate with its rigor and realism. Tunisian-Chinese relations have experienced a significant but discreet surge in recent years. This is because Beijing is multiplying its partnerships in Africa under the "Belt and Road" initiative, while Tunis is seeking to diversify its economic alliances beyond its traditional European and Maghreb partners.
The award ceremony was an opportunity to highlight the importance of Sino-Tunisian relations and the role of journalists in promoting mutual understanding and cooperation between the two countries. The "Sino-Tunisian Friendship Prize" Competition aims to encourage journalists to produce high-quality content that showcases the strengths and opportunities of the bilateral relationship, and to foster greater collaboration and exchange between Tunisian and Chinese media outlets.
